Can't read 1st Downlink

Hi there,
I am using a TTGO LoRa32 v1 (radio: sx1276), and I have an issue with the Downlink (from ChirpStack). I am using the ttn-otaa exemple.
When a downlink is in the queue and I connect my card, all downlinks are sent but the card doesn’t seem to be able to read them.
I have added other downlink after a successful connection and 1st uplink, and I can read them, one by one.

Is it possible to receive a downlink after the 1st uplink (after a successful EV_JOINED) ?
Is this more of a ChirpStack issue ?

A class A device has to send a data uplink to get a downlink. Did you get a data uplink from the device? Or just a join?
